The April Part ONE feature for the "Faces of ECIA" is Robert Logan.

What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association?
I currently am a member of the Manufacturer’s Representative Council that meets monthly to discuss projects we can do that benefits manufacturers, distributors and the rep community.

I have actually been involved with ECIA since February 2011 when ECIA first invited reps to be a part of this and to attend the board of directors' meetings. There were 7 of us back in 2011.

We actually started a Texas Chapter of the ECIA in November 2011 that I managed for 7 years until it was decided to discontinue the Texas Chapter in September 2018.

Being a part of and serving on many committees over the years has been extremely rewarding. It’s a dynamic association and you feel part of the front line on all the challenges the industry faces and the standards that ECIA manages and creates. The relationships and friendships that have strengthened thru involvement with ECIA has been a huge bonus.

What does your company do and what is your role in your company?
Kruvand Associates is a manufacturer’s representative for Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Arizona, New Mexico, Clark County Nevada and the entire country of Mexico.

I am the CEO and have been with Kruvand for 37 years.

What is your favorite thing about this industry?
I think I could write a book about this. I absolutely love this industry; it never gets old and it has been a great joy to be a part of.  I think the fact that no day is the same, and the constant change in technology.

We get to be a part of the incredible products that continue to be introduced. Sophisticated military systems, Robotics, AI, the constant high tech consumer products and computing, and so much more.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
My passion is music and going to see Live music whether it’s my favorite bands from the 60’s & 70’s, or amazing Tribute bands that sound like the real groups.

Football is my favorite time of the year as well. As horrifically painful as it is I still love my Cowboys and I’m a huge Texas Longhorn fan.

And then Most of all just being with family in any and all settings.

Are you currently binging any shows on Netflix, Hulu etc.?
Too funny. My wife Sharon and I probably do way too much of this.  Landman, Lincoln Lawyer, The Night Agent and The Pitt currently and then Shrinking, The Diplomat, Your Friend’s Neighbors are ones we saw not too long ago.

This feature is a great way to learn about the fantastic people behind the hard work from the GIPC, Board, councils and committees.
